Job Summary:
Collarcare® are partnered with health services across Australia and we are currently seeking Registered Midwives for hospital contracts in NSW. As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to women before, during, and after childbirth. You will work closely with expectant mothers to monitor their health, provide education and guidance, and assist with labor and delivery. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to manage various aspects of maternal and newborn care in both home and clinical settings.
About the Role:
- Provide comprehensive care in the maternity ward, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Manage and assist in the birth suite, supporting women through labor and delivery.
- Administer and monitor epidural analgesia and manage pain relief for laboring patients.
- Perform and oversee neonatal resuscitation and provide advanced neonatal care as needed.
- Competently handle antepartum and postpartum care, including assessing and monitoring both mother and baby.
- Conduct IV cannulation and manage intravenous therapy.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
Key Requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- NSW Working with Children Clearance / Willingness to Obtain
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Clearance / Willingness to Obtain
- Triage experience and / certification
- ALS, BLS and PALS Certification
- 1 year of experience working in an Australian Health Setting
- Experience in maternity care, including birth suite management and neonatal care.
- Competency in administering epidurals and managing pain relief.
- Proficiency in IV cannulation and advanced neonatal resuscitation (NeoResus).
- Strong skills in antepartum and postpartum care, including pain management and neonatal resuscitation.
