Current Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior H&S Advisor to join our energetic and diverse team, in Brisbane 

This role will support the development and implementation of Senex Health and Safety strategic initiatives through the implementation of project strategies, plans, programs, systems, and cultural change initiatives  

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Communicating, engaging and supporting  our  Construction Management Teams 

  • Develop strong working relationships with site contractors and H&S teams 

  • Act as the Interface with Operations and contractors.

  • Provide visible and vocal safety leadership across the business

  • Participate in and support risk assessment workshops, the development and review of safe work method statements and Job hazard Analysis.

  • Safety data reporting and analysis

  • Support and advise project contractors and supervisors with the implementation of the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (HSMP) and statutory compliance and Health Safety deliverables

  • Undertake HSE duties as directed by HS Lead consistent with the requirements of the HSE Management System

  • Participate in assurance verifications to assess contractor compliance to HSE objectives

  • Conduct periodic workplace inspections to identify and control potential risks and hazards to plant, equipment, infrastructure and workplace conditions

  • Ensure that incidents are thoroughly investigated, and injuries are properly managed

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 7 – 10 years relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience

  • Typically Tertiary qualified in health, safety, engineering or human factors (desirable)

  • Certification as Auditor would be desirable

  • Certificate 4 (TAE40116) in Training and Assessment
