About the role

As a Property Maintenance Officer you will assist with the maintenance and keeping of our sites to ensure a safe, and secure environment for our clients and staff.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking preventative, urgent, and ad-hoc general maintenance
  • Checking safety equipment
  • Ensuring repair requests are fulfilled within agreed timeframes and when appropriate liaise and organise with tradespeople to undertake the maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with coordinating large-scale repairs, maintenance, and property modification work
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of sites, providing accurate and up-to-date reports
  • Inform the Facilities Manager of any risk matters resulting from inspections and audits

What you need to succeed:

  • Sufficient relevant experience and expertise attained through previous appointments.
  • Relevant trade qualifications/certificates (desirable)
  • Relevant broad practical skills sufficient to undertake a range of duties
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and with a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and achieving results.
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • A working knowledge of statutory requirements and the capacity to observe required work health and safety policies and safe work practices.
  • Willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes and you can claim all work-related travel expenses.
  • Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check.
  • SA Driver Licence
