The goal of the Tennis Women and Girls Strategy is to improve access and opportunities for women and girls in tennis to achieve gender equality in the sport. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a Women and Girls Coordinator - Coach to join our team on a part-time fixed-term basis until June 2025.

As the Women and Girls Coordinator – Coach you will support the implementation of the strategy across Coaching nationally. The role will work with the Women & Girls and Coach Development staff to co-ordinate tailored Women and Girls programs and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire women and girls to lead and play tennis

About the role

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate the national schedule for Coach Connect activities in collaboration with the Coach Development team, including professional development opportunities and networking events
  • Facilitate the delivery of all Coach Connect events, including the Summer of Tennis series
  • Support the administration and reporting for the President’s Women in Tennis Scholarship program
  • Provide administrative support for the national delivery of the No Limits Girls squads, ensuring effective communication with coach deliverers
  • Collaborate with the Coach Professional Learning team to coordinate and produce engaging content for Coach Connect and Coach Education, specifically tailored for women coaches

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Commitment to sports and inclusion with a strong dedication to fostering gender equality for women and girls in the tennis
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, plan work programs, and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • A tertiary qualification in business management, education, sports science, or a related field is desirable
  • Club professional coaching qualification is highly desirable
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
