Job Description: Electrical Supervisor (Client-Side)
Project: Utility-Scale Solar Farm
Location: Shepparton Region 

Role Overview The Electrical Supervisor will oversee all electrical installation and commissioning works on a utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) plant and associated substation. Acting on behalf of the client, the role ensures that the contractor delivers high-quality work in compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervision and Oversight
   
   • Monitor and inspect all electrical works, including PV arrays, inverters, transformers, and substation installations.
   • Ensure that contractors adhere to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.
   • Verify proper installation and testing of electrical systems, including cabling, earthing, and high-voltage equipment.
2. Quality Assurance
   
   • Conduct regular inspections to identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
   • Review and approve contractor work method statements, risk assessments, and test results.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including IEC, NEC, and local regulations.
3. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
   
   • Enforce adherence to site safety protocols and electrical safety standards.
   • Participate in safety audits and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
4. Coordination and Reporting
   
   • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and the client team to resolve issues and clarify technical queries.
   • Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to the project manager.
   • Support commissioning activities and handover documentation.
5. Documentation and Compliance
   
   • Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical works, including redline drawings, test reports, and quality records.
   • Verify that as-built documentation aligns with completed works.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in electrical supervision, preferably on utility-scale solar projects, but open to other power projects
• Ideally an understanding of PV plant components and substation systems, including high-voltage systems
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations 

Skills and Competencies

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in using electrical design software and tools (preferred).

Certifications

• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, High Voltage Switching, or equivalent).
