As markets move towards a greater focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks, our Climate Change and Sustainability services team helps our clients to reduce impacts on the environment and to build a more sustainable and resilient future - to recognise that ESG is not only a question of risk, but also opportunity. This is where you come in.Reporting into the Partners your role will sit within KPMG's ESG & Responsible Investment (RI) team, supporting the ESG & RI team in delivering on ESG, climate change and other responsible investment projects for clients. Clients will include superfunds, investment managers, banks and insurers who are either mature or nascent in their ESG/Sustainability journey.Lead the delivery of ESG advisory projects including client ESG research and report writing, ESG education sessions and workshops for Boards and employees, RI policy and procedure drafting, ESG reporting framework development and the integration of ESG in client portfolios.Lead delivery of services such as Impact Investment measurement and frameworksLead delivery of ESG assurance services, such as over financed emissions under PCAF, ISSB Reporting, UN PRI Reporting and ESG/RI statements in Sustainability and Annual reports. Lead and support regional RI business development and marketing - lead strategy for response to RFP's, preparing proposals, developing conference presentation materials, presenting at industry events and supporting other business development efforts to grow the RI business in Pacific, including Asia.Identify and work with international KPMG team to identify inroads for sustainable products and investment techniques into the domain of orthodox and conventional investment management.Contribute to KPMG's RI intellectual capital and Thought Leadership working with the global RI team, the role, will also have opportunity to contribute to development of new intellectual capital and solutions. Other skills you possess will include:You get excited about generating innovative ideas that create value, improve processes, and solve complex problems.You love being part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team and building strong relationships both internally and externally.You are tuned in to business development opportunities, with confidence creating effective sales material including proposals, case studies, and other sector-specific material.Your ExperiencePreferable experience will include roles within superfund, bank or asset manager either in ESG role or with experience working with the ESG role or within a consulting firm with direct experience in ESG.Knowledge of, and experience with different asset classes of investment managers (listed equity, private equity fixed income, real estate, infrastructure, hedge fund).Knowledge of and experience with international sustainability and assurance guidelines and standards such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmarks (GRESB), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme, Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)Ability to conduct technical and high-quality analysis of ESG processes, investment principles and strategies, including benchmarking organisational performance.QualificationsQualifications at a Degree level in an appropriate discipline such as sustainability, climate change, finance, economics, commerce, law and corporate governance.
