The Role
Due to our success and continued growth, Ventia are seeking applications from Roller Operator’s to join our Transport team working across metro and regional WA. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this position will see you operate Rollers to compact earth, subgrade, and sub-base asphalt surfaces in the construction of highways and roads. You will be doing successive overlapping of surfaces to ensure the roads are compacted to the required level of compaction and smoothness.

This is initially a casual position that will commence on 28/09/2024 and run until 07/11/2024 on a 10:4 Roster. Travel from Perth to the site provided and the commencement scope of work will see you working in the Wheatbelt region of WA.

The payrate for this position is $60.00 per hour including casual loading and is a flat rate.

Benefits:

Key duties, but not limited to:

  • Strong understanding of road construction and maintenance standards, practices, & techniques
  • Drive and operate steel drum, padfoot, and multi tyred rollers to achieve compaction requirements of the specification
  • Monitor number of passes taken by the roller and collaborate with compaction technician operating Pavement Quality Indicator

Skills & Experience:

  • Driver’s Licence – HR
  • White Card / Construction Induction
  • Conduct Roller Operations – RIIMPO317F
  • Experience with Smooth Drum, Pad Foot, & Multi-Tyred Rollers
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical
  • Previous road construction experience
