Our Client, Brisbane Pump Action is a family-owned and operated business, established in 2000 by Rhandall Burnett & Sons. They provide reliable and competitively priced concrete pumping services throughout South East Queensland. Starting with just one line pump, they have steadily grown to a fleet of 12 mobile pumps, a 35m satellite pump, and a 20m spider boom.

They are currently looking for skilled Diesel Motor Mechanics to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor and major services on truck engines and chassis, including checking and changing oils, filters, and tires, and replacing suspension bushes.
  • Conduct general maintenance with daily, weekly, and monthly checks.
  • Full understanding of hydraulic pumps and parts, with experience in servicing them, including replacing hydraulic pumps, changing oil and filters, and fitting hydraulic hoses.
  • Basic knowledge of auto electrics, with the ability to replace and fix lights, safety switches, and other minor electrical components.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications and Experience for a similar role
  • A good sense of humor and a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficiency in English, with the ability to read and write important safety forms and checklists.
  • A minimum HR (Heavy Rigid) license and at least 5 years of driving experience. They will be expected to drive trucks to various locations and attend breakdowns, competently diagnosing and fixing machines on-site.
  • Extensive knowledge of trucks and machinery, with an all-rounder skill set in mechanical work.
  • Ability to competently order and pick up parts for tasks.
  • Willingness to respond to breakdowns at any time, day or night.
