About the role

The objective of the Senior Software Engineer (Identity APIs) is to work with Delivery leaders and the Engineering cohort to design, develop and implement improvements in our capability in Engineering including people, tools, culture, and way of working. As part of the Identity API team, this role will play an integral part in connecting customers and services across multiple brands and lines of business. 

What you'll do

Coach and mentor engineers to improve their engineering capabilities and embed robust practicesBe the first point of contact for questions from other engineers within the delivery team, bridging communication between the team and Domain technical leadersAnalyse system requirements and develop technical designsDevelop and maintain application software to meet defined quality assurance standardsEnhance and integrate automated testing practices within the teamAddress and resolve issues with application software

What you'll bring 

5+ years software engineering experience with 2+ years of technical leadershipDeep experience with API technologies including SpringBoot REST API developmentExperience with Java, Source control systems, Splunk, and collaboration toolsProven Testing skills and ATDD or Behavioural Driven DevelopmentDevelopment frameworks (Spring / Java / Kotlin), Event streaming (Kafka), Cloud (AWS / Azure)Excellent experience in Java/Spring-Boot and React UI is preferred
