Job Details

We have the opportunity for qualified and experienced Academic Teachers to join the Diploma IT on a sessional basis in Semester 2 (commencing Monday 19 June 2023) teaching face to face at our Sydney campus.

Subjects taught include:

Business Requirements Modelling Web Systems

About the role
This position is responsible for:

Teaching Preparing, delivering, and facilitating tutorials and workshops as outlined in the curriculum for the subject each week in subject area of expertise, as agreed with the Program ManagerGrading assignments, tests, examinations, and other assessment items as requiredProviding detailed, timely, and meaningful feedback to studentsPerforming all other teaching-related duties such as preparation for scheduled hours of teaching, administration of student records and informal consultations with students General duties Providing early learning support and referrals as needed to UTS College Study Success AdvisorsIn consultation with the Academic Coordinator and Program Manager, participating in a range of professional development activitiesAttending staff and subject meetings as requiredCompleting special assignments under the direction of the Program Manager as required Team liaison and collaboration Establishing ongoing channels of communication with Academic Coordinators, Study Success Advisors, the Program Manager and academic colleagues to ensure consistent quality of teachingParticipating in moderation activities

About you
 To succeed in this role you must have:

A bachelor's degree in the field 5 years+ experience in industry practice or post graduate qualifications in in the field Relevant demonstrated experience of teaching in a higher education environment Demonstrated commitment to innovative learning and teaching practices, including a willingness to engage with contemporary approaches to content delivery including blended learning approaches Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple demands to meet deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy A NSW Working With Children's Check
