The Station:

Jubilee Downs Station stretches across 220,000 hectares in the West Kimberley, an hour south or 90km from Fitzroy Crossing. Half the property is black soil river frontage, and the other half is red pindan. The Jubilee homestead is right on the Cunningham River and borders the Fitzroy River offering fantastic spots for the fishing enthusiast. 

The Opportunity:

Harvest Road has an exciting 8-month fixed term opportunity for a Station Hand to join our tight-knit team at Jubilee Downs Station (near Fitzroy Crossing).

This is a key role which will provide day-to-day support to the Station Managers in all aspects of animal husbandry and maintenance of station infrastructure and machinery.

*Please note:

• This role will suit someone with 2+ years of similar experience who is a confident and capable horse rider.
• No dogs are allowed.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Two years plus experience as a station hand.
• Strong confidence and experience as a horse rider.
• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Strong focus on safety and animal welfare.
• Motivation and be hard-working.
• Willingness to be part of a versatile team.
• Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
• Sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
• Ability to carry out instruction.
• Proficiency when handling a motor bike (desirable).
