About you
As our Regional Accreditation Coordinator, you will bring your highly analytical and critical thinking skills to support your demonstrated experience in understanding and developing accreditation systems, policies and processes.  You will also possess highly developed communication skills for the management of and liaison with staff and senior/executive management.
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in a related industry
  • Strong relationship management skills at all levels which can be applied to multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Be familiar with the Tasmania region 

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Accreditation Lead, you will provide support and oversight for accreditation functions regionally, ensuring the highest academic and educational standards are met in the application of the accreditation framework to guide the delivery of RACGP educational programs to support the transition program. You will be a supporting presence for local teams with specialised resources and expertise.
In addition, you’ll:

  • Undertake accreditation and reaccreditations of supervisors and training sites with assistance from local teams
  • Develop training site capacity in areas of workforce need in conjunction with local teams
  • Manage the accreditation of extended skills training sites
  • Develop and maintain training sites for Additional Rural Skills Training (ARST) in collaboration with regional health services and Regional Manager Rural Pathways and Rural Generalist Training
  • Develop and manage placements for emergency skills development regionally
  • Monitor feedback and recommendations reported from registrars and supervisors via the local teams to inform the review, quality improvements and reaccreditation process
  • Liaise with the local team to coordinate any practice visits that are required for accreditation in addition to the practice assessment process
  • Research and assist in developing policy and best-practice positions on medical training-related issues that impact on the accreditation framework
  • Provide administrative support to RACGP education and training programs relating to the accreditation framework
