Job Description

In this role you will take responsibility of the delivery aspects of a range of projects – typically 1 at a time, however possibly multiple projects depending on size and complexity. This will include day-to-day management of all site activities. This is a Monday to Friday opportunity onsite. Hours of work are 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Production Manager the key responsibilities of the Assembly Supervisor are:

  • Supervise the crew of process workers assembles the HVAC product according to Work Instruction provided by engineering design team.
  • Monitor the cost associated with the assembly operations and improve the efficiency of the line performance
  • Implement lean methodologies on the assembly line to identify and eliminate MUDAs exist
  • Carry out RCA on an incident occurred at assembly line and implement immediate containment action with long-term solution to control & eliminate the risk.
  • Work with Operations Engineers on implementation of new processes at assembly line and provide support on Production & PD projects
  • Perform QC on materials delivered from stores & other sub-assemblies and provide support to Quality engineer to maintain the quality standards
  • Maintain 5S standards in the assembly line and collaborate with other production supervisors to improve the existing 5S system.   
  • Strive to achieve section KPI’s and contribute to overall factory performance
  • Run toolbox meetings, pre-start, site meetings, and safety walks
  • Work with Production Scheduler on weekly & daily production planning.
  • Ensure work is completed on time and is compliant with WHS standards and applicable building standards and regulations
  • Maintain strong relationships and oversee day-to-day activities
  • Implementing WHS procedures that include best practice procedures to complete projects

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Senior process worker (Assembly) at manufacturing industry with experience as a supervisor (Preferably in HVAC industry)
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings for assembly purposes
  • Solid knowledge of Epicor MES tool
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of OH&S Requirements
  • Strong diagnostics and fault-finding abilities
  • Good customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
