Position Description:

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Cafe and Restaurant Manager to join our team. As the Cafe and Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and efficiency. The role involves a diverse range of duties as outlined below:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·     Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy

·     Training staft to follow restaurant procedures.

·     Planning menus in consultation with Chefs.

·     Planning and organizing special functions

·     Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable

·     Maintaining safety and food quality standards.

·     Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.

·     Organizing schedules.

·     Keeping track of employees" hours

·     Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations

·     Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.

·     Ensuring all end of day cash outs are correctly completed

·     Coordinating daily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations

·     Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste

·     Appraising staff performance

·     Interviewing/recruiting new employees

·     May take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking order.

·     Interacting with guests to get feedback on product quality and service levels

·     The ability to work under pressure

·     Relevant Management Qualification

·     Adherence to OH&S and Food Safety regulations

·     Availability 7 days a week including days/nights/weekends/split shifts and public holidays
