Fuse Recruitment are sourcing for an Electrical Fitter for a large International client based in Ingleburn to become part of a dynamic and progressive maintenance team in the Food Manufacturing Industry.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

• We are currently looking for an Electrical Fitter to join the maintenance team based at Ingleburn.
• The Electrical Fitter will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with Maintenance Electricians, Operators and Process Engineers to ensure that Equipment and Production machinery reliability is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
• As a strong team player the Electrical Fitter will be willing to work and collaborate to assist operationally outside the areas of core responsibility and contribute to building a high performing team culture.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working days:

• Working Monday to Friday
• 10pm – 6am Shift

Duties:

• Take direction from Supervisor to ensure day to day section runs effectively
• Attend onsite to effectively conduct repair of electrical rotating equipment
• Marking up and updating drawings of electrical circuits
• Removing or installing pieces of equipment
• Performing online preventative maintenance inspections of machinery
• Fault finding and diagnosing break downs on machinery
• Replacing sensors, limit switches, checking/changing PLC code, checking drive parameters
• Changing out any electrical components including items such as motors, cables, plugs, switches, sensors, lights, etc
• Carrying out minor tasks outside of scope of role, such as assisting fitter or operators as required – this goes for any support person
• Resetting overloads on equipment and investigating the cause of repeat overloads
• Replacing electrical circuitry (e.g. wiring, contactors, fuses, relays, etc.) as required inside electrical panels
• Completing safety forms such as JSA or CTW
• Document Completed works
• High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.
• High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.
• Complete services to machinery which includes working in confined spaces to ensure issues are identified and resolved before they occur.
• Take the lead on delivery of smaller projects to scope/user requirements..
• Knowledge of and promote safe work practices.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

• Trade Certificate and/or equivalent qualification
• 3-5 years previous experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of PLCs (AB)
• Experience with electrical plant and equipment overhauls and repairs, ideally including power transformers
• The ability to read and understand electrical schematic and wiring diagram
• Confined space license advantageous
• Electrical disconnect/reconnect advantageous
• Elevated work platform (EWP) over 11 m
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to maintain a hands-on approach when required.
• Knowledge of WH&S requirements within a production environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety
