An integral full time opportunity presents for a motivated Laser Operator team member within our Forrestdale laser operations cutting team. 

 

We are willing to train the right person.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery 
  • Select and set up machine based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Pack items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor.
  • Prepare product for shipment.
  • Use hand and power tools for parts clean up.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using forklift.

Skills and attributes:  

  • ESSENTIAL - Forklift license, or willing to obtain one
  • DESIRABLE - Experience operating a Fiber Laser Cutting machine
  • Ability to load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of equipment
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Must be highly detail oriented
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable and willing to do overtime when required
  • Be physically fit
