About the Role:

We are seeking a Solution Design Manager for a 10-month contract role, with a potential extension of up to 24 months. The role entails leading the planning and implementation of ICT solutions aligned with business objectives. You will engage closely with stakeholders to identify process improvements and ensure effective resolution of issues. Operating autonomously, you will drive innovation, shape workplace practices, and manage tasks amidst competing priorities and strategic directives. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to organizational success and innovation in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This pivotal position requires an Australian citizen with at least Baseline clearance.

We are open to candidates based in Canberra, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

About You (Responsibilities and Accountabilities):

Lead and support the operations of the team, including monitoring business performance, setting priorities, and managing resources and workflow. Oversee the development and implementation of ICT solutions, identifying gaps in existing functionality and functional interdependencies. Contribute to business management, strategic planning, and workforce planning efforts. Manage team contributions to the costing process, ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met within budget and on time. Report on business outcomes, key performance indicators, and quality assurance to manage overall performance. Monitor and manage work output and quality against established standards through quality analysis and reporting. Encourage innovation, continuous improvement, and manage change within the team. Develop action plans and make operational decisions critical to business success. Prepare and review a range of technical and corporate documentation. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes, enhance service delivery capability, and influence business outcomes.

Requirements:

Think strategically and align operational activities accordingly. Grasp expectations and concerns, negotiate quality outcomes, and manage stakeholder relationships. Resolve conflict using appropriate strategies and tailor communication effectively. Manage staff and competing priorities to achieve quality outcomes and project completion. Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies. Undertake objective analysis and draw accurate conclusions based on evidence. Make decisions based on professional judgment and risk evaluation. Develop long-term plans for the team aligned with business priorities. Work independently under broad direction and collaboratively as needed.

Additional Requirements:

Australian citizen with at least Baseline clearance. Open to candidates based in Canberra, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
