Role Description/Criteria
St Paul's, Primary School, Coburg, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and dynamic teacher to join our team. St Paul’s staff values feedback, professional learning, learning dialogues and a focus on student learning and improvement. We believe that all teachers should have high expectations and ensure that all students experience success as learners.

- an understanding of explicit teaching and the effective use of data in planning effective learning in Mathematics and Literacy.
- contemporary teaching and learning knowledge and practices that align with how students learn.
- commitment to improving students outcomes using explicit instruction.
- an understanding of the MACS Vision For Instruction, with a focus on the Science of Learning and Science of Reading.
- commitment to implement the Science of Reading and evidence-based literacy practices.
- experience in collecting data to plan effective learning and teaching in Maths and Literacy.
- follow the school assessment schedule to collect and use data to inform teaching.
- the ability to work in collaboration with leaders and colleagues to analyse school based data.
- the ability to plan and provide opportunities for differentiated teaching in Literacy and Maths.
- excellence through collaboration with colleagues.
- effective communication skills and understanding that feedback is an opportunity for growth and to drive improvement
- highly effective use of digital technologies to engage students and improve student outcomes,
- strive for excellence through collaboration, communication and feedback.
- organised, enthusiastic and a dedicated member of our professional learning team.
- the ability to work in partnership with parents to support the wellbeing and learning of all at our school

The applicant must:
- a strong commitment to student wellbeing and child safety
- demonstrate a commitment to the ethos and practice of the Catholic School
- have current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable
