Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Massage Therapist to perform treatments including myotherapy, sports massage, deep tissue remedial, dry needling, rehabilitation, relaxation, and pregnancy treatments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Remedial Massage and Myotherapy treatments
• Managing clients' treatment, rehabilitation plans and exercise protocols
• Conducting pre-treatment consultation to understand clients' concerns, expectations, and the desired outcome of the treatment
• Postural and Functional Assessment
• Performing competent Manual Therapy, utilising adequate techniques (Deep Tissue/Myofascial Release/Trigger Point Therapy)
• Using tailored massage methods to improve athletic performance and prevent injuries
• Performing treatments to promote relaxation, increase blood flow, and release muscle tension
• Performing dry needling and myofascial cupping
• Keeping updated clinical treatment records
• Consulting and advertising clients on corrective exercise protocols and pain and injury preventative routines 

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years experience
• Minimum Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy and Diploma of Remedial Massage
• Qualify to hold provider numbers with all health funds
• Massage Association Professional Membership
• Excellent customer service and client retention skills
• Proficiency in other languages is preferred
• Experience in mentoring of junior practitioners
• Experience in content creation for social media and marketing 
• Ability to program cross-model treatment plan (chiropractic, physiotherapy, osteo)
• Ability to complete more than 30 treatments per week
• Certified and experienced in whole body electro-stimulation (TENS machine)
• Certified and experienced in whole body dry needling
• Experience working with other manual therapy modalities
