About the Role:

Knauf is looking for an experienced Distribution Operator to join our high performing Distribution Centre based in Pinkenba, QLD.

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, this role is responsible for distribution activities through the daily operations of the Pinkenba Distribution Centre, in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans, operating budgets, procedures and policies.

Duties include:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles with a large forklift as part of goods inwards/ outwards processes
  • Some manual handling as required
  • Ensuring Chain of Responsibility requirements are met
  • Participate in stock take functions and inventory control
  • Maintain compliance to the Management System and relevant procedures
  • Check and process orders with diligence and accuracy
  • Ensure validity and compliance within our SAP system
  • Maintain operational equipment and report any faults or damage to Management

Requirements:

  • Team player, attention to detail, time management and organization skills
  • Forklift experience using 8 Tonne forklifts
  • Experience in large load handling
  • Physically fit & comfortable with manual handling
  • Plasterboard experience preferred but not essential
  • Day shift (9:30am – 6pm)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Safety mindset and can do attitude
