We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Technician to join our Operations and Maintenance team in Mount Isa Qld on a 12 month max term basis
Reporting to the Team Leader you will work with all team members to safely perform maintenance activities at DPF.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of high-pressure natural gas and steam systems, including conditioning monitoring.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assets and practices of APA both locally
- Maintain & operate equipment in accordance with the scheduled work plan to ensure the capacity, availability and reliability of the power assets.
- Ensure all maintenance data is recorded and available for analysis and audit by writing detailed reports and other correspondence
- Maximise field time, equipment uptime, completion of preventative maintenance and minimise reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
- Contribute to the safety culture in accordance with APA’s HSE procedures.
Your background
- Relevant Australian recognised trade certificate
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar operational environment
- Significant power station experience, training to be provided.
- Working knowledge of gas/steam turbines and reciprocating generators
- Able to obtain a clear police clearance
