Monash Faculty of Information Technology is seeking an outstanding senior academic to join the Department of Data Science and AI, improving gender diversity in key technological fields, enhancing the representation of women in IT – and empowering them to pursue rewarding careers within our faculty and beyond.

The only faculty dedicated to IT out of the prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), we’re widely renowned for excellence and innovation in research and education.

The Faculty of Information Technology is led by empathetic and strong leaders, many of whom are women. We celebrate champions of equity, diversity, and inclusion to drive initiatives that help develop future leaders such as the Women Research Accelerator Program (WRAP) and women in technology mentoring program. The Faculty of IT deeply values women rising stars, students, and alumni and support Monash wide initiatives such as the STEMM women academic network and champion accessibility, and much more. We provide staff with carer travel support and returning from parental leave support, we support staff and students with an embedded counsellor at the Faculty and provide disability support services and mentoring to students.

As the Associate Professor/Professor, you will be pivotal in shaping the future of AI education and research at our institution. You will lead cutting-edge research with a preference in the areas of reinforcement learning, autonomous agents and/or generative AI.
