aleksandar. has been appointed to manage the recruitment process on behalf of a leading organisation to identify an International Tax Advisor in Perth, Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in a critical project role for a fixed-term contract of twelve to fifteen months.

The International Tax Advisor will oversee a wide range of tax-related functions, including compliance, business optimisation, and strategic planning, while keeping up with changes in legislation and tax policies. The role also involves providing timely and expert tax advice to key business units within the organisation. Based in the core group tax team in Perth, this position reports directly to the International Tax Senior Manager. 

Success in this role will depend on your deep technical expertise in international taxation. You’ll need to showcase a strong understanding of tax risk management and regulatory requirements, ideally gained from experience at a leading Big4 accounting firm or top-tier law firm. A solid knowledge of best practices for multinational corporations in the global market is also essential. In return, this position offers a unique opportunity to work within a large and complex corporate environment, providing exposure to high-level in-house tax expertise.

Candidates we are interested in speaking with must have the ability to:

  • Oversee international tax compliance, including managing tax filings and reporting in various jurisdictions.
  • Provide strategic advice on international transactions, acquisitions, and operational activities.
  • Monitor changes in international tax regulations and assess their impact on the business.
  • Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities to ensure local compliance.
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for international entities.
  • Lead or assist with international tax audits and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure tax efficiency and alignment with business strategies.
  • Contribute to cross-border tax planning initiatives and identify tax optimisation opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate completion of tax reporting for year-end and quarterly filings.


Requirements
  • Currently Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager level at a big4 firm.
  • 5+ years of corporate tax experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, predominantly across corporate income tax.
  • Strong tax effect accounting experience.
  • Professional and committed with excellent communications skills.
  • A commercial mind-set with the ability to analyse and glean insights from data.
