JLE Mining and Tunnelling is excited to share we are building a bigger team to meet demands for our expanding business. We are looking for an experienced Boilermaker to join us in our Orange Workshop who is keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

 About the Role:

The primary focus of Boilermaker is fabrication, installation, and maintenance of a wide variety of JLE Mining & Tunnelling manufacturing pieces including enclosures and skids. The Boilermaker duties and responsibilities include providing effective and efficient maintenance skills.  

Duties include: (but not limited to)

  • Engage in making, fitting, or repairing equipment to ensure JMT equipment are in optimum condition for their intended use.
  • Ensure all work carried out meets MGH safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify faults through the use of fault-finding techniques with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensure follow up actions are identified and scheduled.
  • Carry out routine and emergency maintenance and repairs. 
  • General trade related duties including the welding, cutting, grinding, heat treatment and stress reliving of steels.
  • Undertake installation of new and fabricated components.

About you:

  • Certificate III Boilermaker - Fabrication (Australian Nationally Accredited trade certificate) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and /or relevant qualifications.
  • Current drivers Licence.
  • White card.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Good communication is a must, along with the ability to multitask with efficient time management skills.
  • Having First Aid, Forklift licence and Manual Handling would be a desirable but not essential.
