About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join our maintenance team at our Australind finishing plant in the heart of Bunbury.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager our Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor

is the Site Electrical Nominee and is responsible for:  

  • Leading a maintenance team to ensure quality of workmanship and a commitment to safe working practices, continuous improvement and cost reduction.
  • Providing coaching, and overseeing the training and development of the team.
  • Coordinating and allocating work to ensure that service and repairs to plant and equipment are carried out in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
  • Proactively driving a positive safety culture within the team.
  • Co-ordinate and plan plant shut downs utilizing internal and external resources
  • Minimising downtime through accurate fault-finding and investigation.
  • Co-ordinating and supervising contractors
  • Managing equipment data and history in the CMMS
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

About You: 

To be successful in this role you will ideally need to possess:

  • A Grade Electrical Workers Licence (WA)
  • Cert IV in Instrumentation
  • Minimum 3 year experience managing electrical trades within a fixed plant processing environment
  • The ability to motivate a team and implement change
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Electrical Standards
  • Previous control system experience (DeltaV/Honeywell/ ABB)

The following would be highly regarded, but are not mandatory;

  • Supervising Gas Authorisation holder
  • Electrical Nominee / Contractors Licence
  • HV Operator Switching Certification 
  • SAP CMMS knowledge and experience
