The science (chemistry) role in our thriving food and pharmaceutical laboratory focuses on delivering quality results on time to our clients through conducting analyses, method validation, and innovative method development. The role will provide project support through testing requests, compiling of data, supplying feedback on analysis approach and developing corrective and preventative actions to minimise deficiencies.

The day to day

Method validation protocol write-up for compendial, in-house, and supplied methods Method Validation of analytical methods in compliance with ICH/TGA guidelines for API and Pharmaceutical Products under the guidance of the Technical Manager (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) Method validation report write-up for compendial, in-house, and supplied methods Review out-of-specification results and write up the relevant investigation reports Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative actions to resolve any identified deficiencies Method development to support the implementation of new methods within the laboratory and improvement of existing methods Provide project support through testing requests, compilation of data, feedback on analysis approach and reporting of findings to the Technical Manager, including issues/abnormal observations, while striving to adhere to assigned due dates. Review and approval of laboratory data, both from instrumental and classical methodologies. Workflow management using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The Essentials
Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience. Extensive Instrumentation experience (HPLC, LCMS, GC, ICP) and competence in modern analytical techniques. Chromatography Data Software experience (Chromeleon is desirable) Proven analytical method validation experience, as per ICH Q2 (R1). Proven track record in laboratory work-flow coordination to meet client expectations Ability to work within a team and autonomously A strong commitment to client service Strong verbal and written communication along with knowledge of MS packages
