About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef to join the Black Star Pastry team in our Rosebery Store.

Our Service (Pastry) Chefs dedicated to the highest quality standards, producing a beautiful product and providing outstanding customer experience.

Roster

This is a full-time role with availability required ideally Monday to Friday. Hours are 5:30am-1:30pm. 

About You

  • 2-3 year’s experience as a Pastry Chef.
  • Team players with a positive attitude.
  • Passionate about customer experience and product quality.
  • Commitment to food safety.
  • Ability to deal with the repetitive nature of a high-volume, fast-paced production kitchen and maintain the highest quality and service standards.

About the Business

Black Star Pastry opened its first boutique patisserie in Newtown in 2008 and since then we have grown into an institution with stores across Sydney.

We are most famous for our Strawberry Watermelon Cake which continues to be a social media sensation, with the New York Times declaring it “the world’s most instagrammed cake.”
