The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Mechanical Maintenance, your primary function will be to lead a team covering reliability engineering, statutory inspections and condition monitoring

Your responsibility and team’s main priorities include:
  • Manage the condition monitoring and reliability functions/systems for Copper Concentrator including statutory inspections, oil analysis, thermography, vibration analysis and lubrication
  • Coordinate development of annual operational and capital maintenance budgets;
  • Project management of department operational and capital projects
  • Providing technical support as required for maintenance teams;
  • Ability to step into the Superintendent role when and if required.

As the successful candidate, you will have:
  • Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5+ years post graduate experience;
  • Ability to build a team, deliver results and create a generative safety culture;
  • Ability or desire to step-up and cover the Maintenance Superintendent’s role;
  • Understand and apply procedural compliance;
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; (previous experience as a leader highly regarded)
  • Previous engineering experience in the mining industry, preferably maintenance;
  • Capital and annual budget experience, along with project and asset management exposure;
  • Solid understanding of reliability concepts, work management and defect elimination;
  • Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Acts and Regulations.
