Asphalt Team Member

Citywide are recruiting for an Asphalt Team Member to join the team working on our Bayside City Council contract – based out of our North Melbourne depot. This role would suit someone with previous labouring/asphalt experience.

  • Monday to Friday – 6.30am to 2.36pm
  • North Melbourne Depot

Duties and responsibilities include but are but are not limited to:

  • Driving asphalt truck to work sites in Bayside locations
  • Assisting asphalt team members as required with raking, shovelling, screeding etc.
  • Use of various equipment including: rollers and hand held equipment such as compaction plates, demolition saws etc.
  • Setting up appropriate barricades and implementing traffic management principals
  • Inspecting and cleaning pits as required
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety are applied

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Asphalt road maintenance experience
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of relevant equipment
  • MR or HR Truck Licence
  • Strong knowledge and appreciation of OH&S
  • Traffic Management Ticket
  • White Card
  • First Aid
  • Police Check and Working With Children Check
  • Able to work well in a team environment
