About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Coordinator SafeCity Rangers to provide specialist and technical expertise to support the Community Safety Manager in ensuring the SafeCity Rangers and Security Services are achieving and maintaining best practice. This role will be responsible for the functional and operational management of the SafeCity Rangers Team.

In your role as the Coordinator SafeCity Rangers, you will support the City by:

Effectively managing the SafeCity Rangers Operations Supervisor, SafeCity Rangers, and Security Services; including budgeting, performance, monitoring, contracts/service agreements, marketing, rostering, and human resource management. Ensuring that Council's statutory obligations are met and local laws are enforced with a strong emphasis on customer service. Fostering an environment and organisational culture which encourages and enables change, innovation, and improvement to deliver Safe City Plans, community expectations, and staff performance and satisfaction. Providing specialist professional and technical expertise, advice, and support to the Community Safety Manager, Alliance Manager Community Safety and Amenity, and other stakeholders in relation to statutory obligations and governing instruments oversight, management, and compliance. Leading, coordinating, and managing HR activities for your team to ensure an effective and standardised approach to recruitment, onboarding, payroll, training, and performance management.

To be successful in this role you will have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in working collaboratively as part of a team, along with the ability to influence staff and deliver quality customer service.
