Position Details



Mater Christi Catholic Primary School is a three stream co-educational school catering for boys and girls from Early Learning (Pre-kindy) to Year Six. We are a modern and well resourced school positioned within a peaceful environment overlooking Yangebup Lake, an easy 20 minute drive from the city. The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. Mater Christi places strong emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning. We are seeking an experienced, suitably qualified, dynamic, professional, creative Visual Arts Teacher to the pursuit of educational excellence to be part of a progressive and dynamic team. Your working days will be Wednesday and Thursday.
Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will be able to:

• Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties
• Understand the importance of developing positive relations with children, staff and parents, and demonstrate evidence of such actions
• Demonstrate a passion for and the ability to teach Visual Arts
• Demonstrate classroom teaching experiences that enhance quality differentiated learning opportunities for students of all levels
• Able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and hold high expectations about children’s ability to learn
• Be relationship focused with strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment
• Understand the importance of contributing to the life of the school beyond their immediate Classroom and demonstrate evidence of such actions

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor of Education (Primary)
