Asphalt Laboratory Technician

Are you passionate about delivering top sampling and analytical services in the field of asphalt and aggregates? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our Field Services Group laboratories and play a crucial role in ensuring effective and high-quality testing.

This team will work on a rotational day and night shift roster, the ideal candidate must be flexible with both rosters.

Day shift rates: $43.80 per hour + Super
Night shift rates: $79.82 per hour + Super

Day shift hours: 6:30am - 3pm
Night shift hours: 7pm - 4:30am

About your new role

As an Asphalt Laboratory Technician, you'll have the opportunity to collect samples, perform analyses both in the field and laboratory, and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Gather asphalt and aggregate samples following lab procedures and NATA (National Australian Testing Authority) quality standards.
• Conduct standard asphalt and aggregates tests, adhere to NATA standards, and assist with lab maintenance.
• Work autonomously to deliver effective and informed decision-making practices on sampling and testing processes in the field and laboratory.
• Ensure accurate recording of sample details for plant performance evaluation.
• Implement plans for each activity in relation to WH&S and the Environment.
• Willing to work rotating shifts

What you will need to exceed

It is ideal that you have lab testing experience in the following fields of Asphalt and Aggregates, Concrete and/or Soil.

The following tickets and licences are also highly advantageous.

• Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s License - obtain and/or maintain
• Radiation use licence - obtain and/or maintain
• Certificate 4 Lab techniques
• Nuke Licence
