An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and knowledgeable Occupational Therapist to take the next step in their career as an Occupational Therapy Consultant with our Central Office Care and Lifestyle Team. This is a full-time role based in Burswood but you will be required to visit our Facilities across the metro area including Mandurah and Busselton.

In this important role, you will focus on Therapy and Lifestyle, as well as:
- Possess a confident knowledge of Aged Care processes related to assessment & documentation
- Support onsite staff with complex clinical presentations
- Support People and Culture with Allied Health recruitment
- Support site-based staff during Reaccreditation audits and assessment contact visits
- Equipment recommendations from a pressure care and seating perspective
- Auditing as required both on eCase and facility based
- Provide onboarding for new Occupational Therapy staff
- Liaison with facilities OTs, PTs and RLOs
- Review and support CNM/RN’s in strategies to manage individual residents
- Education of staff predominantly Allied Health and lifestyle staff
- Relieve OT’s at facilities as required
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Experience as an Occupational Therapist within Aged Care.
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team as well as independently.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Proficient in resident documentation systems preferably eCase and excel.
- Excellent communication skills – both written & oral.
- Enthusiasm for training.
- Excellent organisational & time management skills.
- A mentoring/consultative approach.
- Knowledge of Aged Care legislation & Accreditation Standards.
