John Fawkner Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team in our General Medical Ward. You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience whilst we care for them.
As a Nurse Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:
- The position is responsible for providing clinical leadership to the General Medical ward to compliment the strategic direction, operational processes and quality management of all patients.
- You will provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.
- As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources

Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent (min. 3 years local experience)
- Compliance with ACSQHC National standards
- A strong commitment to developing in a management role
- Computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management
- Demonstrated HR management experience
