THE ROLE

The , Macquarie University, is seeking to appoint a fixed term part-time teaching and leadership focused Associate Lecturer to assist in the on-campus and online delivery of the Department’s offerings in Ancient History. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching in this domain and the capacity to participate in administrative service to the University.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a highly motivated academic, have completed or be on the point of completing a PhD in Ancient History or a related discipline, and have teaching experience relating to the role. This experience should include the development and delivery of lectures and tutorials, and development and administration of assessment, in on-campus and online environments in the field of Ancient History, broadly defined. Experience in teaching units on myth, and in teaching ancient languages (especially Latin) may be advantageous. You will be able to work both in a team and independently, and have the capacity to contribute to the administration of the Department through service roles.
