About the Role
CareSouth is looking for a Caseworker to join the GriffithPermanency Support Team, on a full-time, ongoingposition.
At CareSouth we strive to encourage safety, healing andconnection through healthy relationships. Supporting families,children and young people is core to our values. As a Caseworkeryou will be a part of a team which works dynamically across thechild protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanencysupport, restoration and adoption.
A day in the life of a Caseworker
As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which worksdynamically across the child protection spectrum. A typical daycould include:
Visiting children, young people and carers in their homes Working holistically with carers, families and service providers to help children and young people reach their goals Supportive collaboration with a diverse team to share knowledge and insight to help achieve best outcomes for children and young people Documenting children and young people’s goals, journey and milestones Helping children and young people achieve permanency so they have a home for life.About You
To be a successful in a Caseworker role at Caresouth you need tobe resilient, dedicated and passionate about making a difference ina young person's life. The Griffith team is a collaborative andsupportive team so we are looking for someone that is a strong teamplayer, has a great sense of humour and is willinging to go theextra mile for the young people you support.
As the successfult aplicant youwill be able to demonstrate thefollowing criteria:
A commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards relevant qualification Understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families. Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks. High level verbal and written communication skills. Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and the NSW Child Protection system. Current driver’s licence. Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and/or (ACT) Working with Vulnerable People Card.-
