About the role

The Production Manager role is a Full-Time position, based at Coopers Plains, QLD. Reporting to Operations Manageryou will provide people and process leadership to the Gyprock Coopers Plains Production teams, ensuring the team's health & safety, the environment, and CSR's code of conduct are never compromised.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the production team (24/hr x 5 days a week operation).
  • Ensure shareholder value is achieved by delivering all CSR's safety, sustainability, customer service, product quality and plant performance targets for the Coopers Plains production activities.
  • Ensure adherence with all Site Safety requirements, including PSIs, incident reporting / investigations and completing all corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors and Production employees as well as other parts of the areas including Process improvement and Engineers.
  • Demonstrate ownership on process and provide improvement strategies.
  • Have excellent people management and problem-solving skills as technical support will be required.

What you bring to the role

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar industry.
  • A strong commitment to safety awareness
  • Tertiary qualifications in Process Engineering or related subject.
  • Leadership & motivational experience & knowledge (people person)
  • Knowledge & Production experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing tools and continuous improvement program
  • Problem solving ability with attention to detail.
