Your new role

Join the dynamic John Curtin Gallery team as a Registrar, Exhibitions and immerse yourself in an opportunity to blend your passion and knowledge of art. In this role, you'll take charge of managing the registration process for our exhibitions and play a key part in coordinating the artworks for these events. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role coordinating exhibition logistics, and in the handling and condition checking of artworks.

In this role, you will:
Coordinate with external touring and exhibition coordinators, curators, installation officers, registrars, lenders, and artists and liaise with appropriate gallery staff where required. Manage all communication and negotiation with stakeholders throughout the loan lifecycle including initial requests, planning, scheduling, and allocating of resources for inward loans. Participate as a key member of the Exhibitions Delivery team f. We are looking for (the ideal candidate):
Strong understanding of loan contractional obligations and insurance requirements. Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple projects to meet strict timelines while working autonomously. Experience in the safe handling of artworks, include packing and storage Experienced in conducting Condition Reports. As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
