ABOUT THE ROLE
Through ongoing growth and success at Ramelius, a permanent Exploration Geologist opportunity is now available with the tenacious team. We have a range of projects across the Wheatbelt, Mid-West and Kalgoorlie regions. This role is offered on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster, FIFO ex Perth.
  
An opportunity to work across several projects, gaining exposure to brownfield and greenfield exploration, different deposit styles (focussing on gold) and supported by experienced geologists.
  
Reporting to the Senior Exploration Geologist, this role will involve:

  • Execute and oversee field work programmes including geological field mapping, geochemical surface sampling and drill hole logging (aircore, RC, diamond).
  • Ensure data is accurately recorded and provided in timely manner.
  • Use of purpose-specific software to analyse, interpret and present data.
  • Provide direction to Field Technicians and contractors engaged in exploration activities.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant obligations (tenure, heritage, health and safety) of staff and contractors.
  • Proactively identify and report potential hazards and eliminate risk-taking behaviours or actions.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, we would like to see. 

  • Tertiary level degree in Geology, Geological Science or similar.
  • Keen interest in mineral exploration.
  • Basic understanding of relevant mining, health & safety, heritage and tenure legislation.
  • Proficient level of attention to detail, time management & organisational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • First aid certificate (Desirable).
  • A West Australian C class driver’s license (manual) and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance purposes.
