About the role

Kickstart your career in the electricity generation industry and develop a broad range of skills during this hands-on apprenticeship. At the successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will obtain a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control.

Over your five-year apprenticeship, you will work with subject matter experts to provide electrical and instrumentation support at our sites. Some of the projects and tasks you will be involved in include:

  • Conducting investigations and identifying options to eliminate faults
  • Calibrating and testing electrical equipment and instrumentation 
  • Performing routine plant maintenance activities
  • Conducting safe work risk assessments
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workspace for yourself and others on site

Is this position for you?

To make a meaningful contribution to our team, you will:

  • Preferable to have completed a minimum of year 12 or equivalent prior to program commencement
  • It is desirable that you have a driver’s license upon commencement (Feb 2025)
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in building a career in the electricity generation industry and completing this four-year apprenticeship
  • Possess strong communication skills, including the ability to ask questions and listen to instructions
  • Have a desire to learn and develop throughout your apprenticeship
  • Be motivated to achieve excellent results in work and study (you will be required to complete a relevant TAFE qualification as part of your apprenticeship)  
  • Understand the importance of working safely and following site procedures
