Techforce Personnel are a national recruitment agency and project management firm specializing in blue- and white-collar recruitment across mining and resources, shutdowns, facilities maintenance, industrial services, civil construction and the oil and gas industries.

Due to continuous growth, our client is looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join their team to focus on internal auditing across a range of their sites in WA. This role will require frequent site travel across multiple Tier 1 sites with some time required in their Henderson office.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice in line with WHS legislation to employees and
  managers on health and safety matters
• Plan and conduct internal audits across the WA I&E site operations and
  provide suggestions, improvements and guidance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
• Report and investigate all hazards and incidents. Support the
  implementation of agreed control measures in accordance to best practice and guidelines
• Conduct and/or assist incident investigations in line with using the ICAM investigation methodology
• Maintain up to date knowledge and ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation
• Lead onsite meetings with key Management positions prior to any auditing and review process that are to be conducted to ensure effective and accurate completion of SHEQ and compliance documentation review
• Responsible for providing visible safety leadership
• Establish and maintain effective intra-divisional, cross-divisional and external working relationships to promote safety compliance and awareness

About You:

• Minimum Cert IV in WHS
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SHEQ Advisor within mining or an industrial sector
• ICAM Lead Investigator
• Lead Auditor
• Current Australian drivers licence
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation in Western Australia as well as safety standards and processes
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to ensure safety compliance and
  auditing requirements are adhered to
• Demonstrated experience in hazard and risk assessment and mitigation
