Store Person / Parts Cadet – Career starting role

Are you an experienced Store Person interested in developing your skills into a career in Parts Interpreting? CJD Equipment has a fantastic opportunity to join our highly experienced Geraldton team, where you will be provided with all the on-the-job training and mentoring you will need to set yourself up for a long, successful career in Parts Interpreting.

This role is an integral part of the team and daily operations of the business and will have you working with world-class products such as KENWORTH and DAF TRUCKS, and VOLVO CE and SDLG products.

A day in the role will see you: 

  • Training to identify, source and sell spare parts and other parts as required.
  • Receiving incoming freight including stock orders and receipting into inventory system.
  • Putting away incoming stock and assigning to pending customer orders
  • Pick customer orders for pickup, delivery or dispatch.
  • Deliver parts to customers (vehicle provided).
  • Prepare invoices and other finance arrangements for the sale of stock.
  • Provide parts support to internal workshop operations.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs (outlook, excel, word)
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be a team player
  • A current police clearance or willing to obtain one
  • Valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence
  • A forklift licence (recommended but not essential)
  • Previous parts and/or warehousing experience (advantageous)
