We have been exclusively mandated to find a Head of M&A for an Australian tourism company that operates a range of premium travel experiences across Australia. The company focuses on providing high-quality, immersive experiences that showcase the natural beauty, culture, and unique aspects of the country. We are looking for a Head of Mergers and Acquisition to join as an Executive General Manager.

Your role will be to primarily drive inorganic growth across the platform with strategic and value-enhancing acquisitions. This is a platform deal of a successful Private Equity firm and year 1 of a 5-year growth plan. As such there is clear strategic direction and an already identified pipeline of opportunities. This role will require a high-level of autonomy and execution capability, so being competent in driving and leading transactions is a must. This role will be supported by the CFO/Finance team and PE equity owner based in New York.

You will be highly capable individual most likely at VP level with ideally with 7-10 years’ experience in M&A Investment Banking, Advisory, Private Equity or Corporate Development. The head office of this company is based in South Australia but there is flexibility in location, either working from Adelaide/Sydney or Melbourne. Ideally you will have an interest in the travel and tourism sector but more importantly, you will be smart, capable of dealing with senior executives and able to demonstrate a strategic mindset and execution capability.
