You will have a proactive approach, the ability to provide exceptional customer service, along with a strong understanding of heavy machinery and equipment. This position will focus on the Ground Force and Tow Haul products, and you will have the ability to adapt to additional products as the role develops.
The Equipment division was created within FMS Group 12 months ago and continues to grow. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team where continued growth has been identified. You will be working with a strong team and a company who are committed to this division’s success.
Are you ready for a new challenge, where you will travel nationally and internationally, and have the opportunity to support the products and gain the understanding of additional products and services. This position will be based in the Mackay or Perth region, depending on the location of the successful applicant.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Liaise with the factories on engineering and technical support for our product groups
- Liaise with the customer to offer technical support for our product groups
- Provide technical and operational training for our product groups
- Ensuring the organisation complies with company laws and other relevant legislation
- Assist with the commercial lead to prepare official quotations for the supply of new projects and capital parts including all relevant costs when requested.
- Project manage the technical delivery of equipment and projects; by assisting in the management of multiple internal stakeholders including Engineering, technical operations support as well multiple vendors.
- Support the commercial lead in managing budget performance and variations of all builds.
- Assist the commercial lead to deliver post build reviews, including review of standard jobs and performance
- Work in collaboration with the responsible commercial lead to provide equipment build status updates to the group and assist with resolving any issues
- Provide regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and action plans.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings – nationally & internationally
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in a similar role within the mining or heavy earthmoving industries
- Strong attention to detail.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective process development skills and ability to use initiative.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with a focus on customer service.
- High level of customer service skills with a strong customer delivery focus.
- Knowledge of MYOB or similar ERP system would be highly desirable.
