The opportunity

Knox Private Hospital is seeking experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our General Surgical team on a part time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided. Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds.

The Warratah ward is a 33 bed ward which is led by a passionate and innovative NUM who strongly encourages professional development. The staff are specially trained in the care of Colorectal and Hepatobiliary/Upper GI patients and provide exceptional care to ensure best patient outcomes.

Exciting new expansion for Knox Private Hospital

Work is well underway on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne’s east.

The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients, and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility. 

2023/2024 Expansion Project includes:

Three story North Tower with two wards (60 beds), upgrade and increase in ICU and CCU beds, upgrade to Knox Heart Centre (our non-invasive diagnostic cardiology), 16 chair renal dialysis unit and Specialist Consulting Suites.

What you’ll be doing

• As an Enrolled Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
•          Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care to individuals/groups under the direction and supervision (either indirect or direct) of the RN
•          Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
•          Act as a role model for Safe Practice
•          Administer medications according to state law and organisation policy
•          Have demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development

About you

You are driven and passionate about providing the highest quality care to our patients. You will possess the following:

•          Current Registration (no restrictions) with AHPRA
•          Previous experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in a Hospital environment is essential
•          Ability to work a rotational 24/7 roster including nights and weekends
•          Commitment to Quality Patient Care
•          Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines
•          Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•          Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2021-2025" (salaries range between $33.30 and $35.40 per hour).
