Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

About the role

We are seeking Part-time Youth Workers. In this role you will provide quality client-centred support, to young people aged 15-24 years of age who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness and requiring crisis accommodation

You will successfully

  • Ensure Support is provided to young people in line with Youth Services Model of care and associated Frameworks

  • Build effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation

  • Ensure case management support is provided to clients in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice

  • Identify and raise risks to clients and staff to the attention of the line manager

  • Report and record incidents/hazards via online management system timely and accurately

  • Identify service gaps and provide recommendations for service delivery improvements to Team Leader / Program Manager

These Part time roles are located in Karratha, WA. The salary and conditions for this role are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 4 Award.

You will have

  • Minimum Certificate 3 or 4 in Human Services or related field, or relevant equivalent experience in the Human Services Industry

  • Experience in working with youth in community or residential setting desirable

  • Drivers licence

  • First aid certificate (current or able to get within three months)

  • Willing to obtain a National criminal check

  • Working with Childrens Check
