About the role:

The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Specialist SAP Finance to join them on a Monday – Friday roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Manager SAP, you will be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies and goals by working closely with our finance and SAP support teams to ensure the efficient operation of SAP finance, including but not limited to FI, CO, business BAU support. This role plays a crucial part in optimising SAP financial processes and systems.  

Duties:

  • Configure and maintain SAP Finance modules to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse business processes and recommend SAP solutions to streamline financial operations
  • Lead SAP Finance changes, upgrades and ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget and timeline.
  • Conduct user training sessions and prepare documentations to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure the effective use of SAP finance functionalities.
  • Work closely with other ERP functional members by ensuring that all SAP related change activities are captured in any business & functional requirements and are considered for all changes.
  • Research and troubleshooting of advanced problems.
  • Manage or participate in production transport activities, major fault events, change management, SAP upgrades, SAP related projects.
  • Collaborate with business leaders both Operational and Functional to understand their strategic goals and technology requirements and identify opportunities for technology to drive business growth and competitiveness.
  • Provide thought leadership on technology-related topics and lead technology-focused discussions and presentations to educate and inform business leaders and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with SAP Finance business support, SAP finance related projects, configurations, maintenance, and finance support
  • Proven experience with full cycle SAP implementations, Management accounting/Cost accounting, extensive business, and system knowledge of mining operations.
  • Understanding of project management frameworks (Agile/Waterfall)
  • Understanding of organisational change management.
  • Ability to influence and communicate across teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritise technology initiatives that drive business value.
