The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.

This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. 
  
WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint experienced Quality Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) for the railway infrastructure project. Define quality policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry standards, project requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Quality Planning: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish quality objectives, plans, and strategies. Participate in project planning activities to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Quality Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations. Identify non-conformities, deficiencies, and areas for improvement. Recommend corrective actions and verify their implementation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, inspection results, and non-conformities. Prepare comprehensive reports on quality performance, trends, and metrics. Communicate findings to the project management team and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and standards applicable to SSTOM project. Ensure that project activities and deliverables comply with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), are preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in quality management, quality assurance, or quality control, ideally within the railway or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Familiarity with railway infrastructure projects, construction processes, and industry-specific quality requirements is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
