The role offers a dynamic work environment that champions a zero-harm safety mindset, where maintenance and installation tasks are performed with precision and care, ensuring the safety and reliability of Victoria's transportation network.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019 and paid as an IMW 3.1 (SIG & ELEC) $57.1934 per hour plus super.

About you

Key Accountabilities include:

Maintenance and installation of work on signalling and communications equipment either individually or in a team environment under limited direction of supervisors. Perform allocated routine maintenance tasks to accord with the technical maintenance plan and servicing schedules and enter task completing reports to the maintenance management system. Attend to fault rectification tasks at multiple locations. Use service schedules and maintenance instructions to guide reactive and preventative activities.

The recruitment and selection process will include two stages of capability assessment. In stage one, applicants are required demonstrate they meet the following selection criteria:

Completed a Cert IV in Rail and Tram Signalling Systems (attached to application preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (online assessment) Meet V/Line’s Rail Industry Worker safety benchmarks (online assessment) Strong motivation for a career with V/Line, demonstrated values and commitment to roster (Video Introduction) Current full Driver's License
