An excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who has experience in Restructuring and Insolvency has become available.

One of Sydney's largest and most respectable Insolvency and Restructuring firms has been experiencing a huge amount of growth and has opened an opportunity for a Restructuring Accountant to join the team.

They are able to offer fantastic support in terms of training and development and have uncapped progression potential, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their accountancy career.

To join the Restructuring and  Insolvency team, you will need to be an advanced-level accountant with demonstrable experience in restructuring and insolvency accounting. We are looking for individuals that are committed and enthusiastic about accountancy, and who can be flexible and adaptable working in a continuously changing environment.

The role will include:

  • Have sound business and commercial acumen.
  • Support the Principals in all aspects of our key processes, including insolvency, restructuring, investigations, and voluntary administration.
  • Play a key role in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, particularly the client journey.
  • Assist in developing innovative strategies to solve complex business problems for clients.
  • Lead junior employees through skills development to assist you with projects.
  • Use financial modelling, analysis, and other relevant skills to inform decision-making.
  • Positively impact on the team’s culture and always deliver high-quality services.
  • Work diligently within a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have the following to bring to the role to ensure they are successful:

  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • Work experience in a similar Insolvency/Restructuring accounting role from 2-5 years
  • Degree-qualified in the relevant area
  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Ability to work as a team and independently as required
  • Strong communication with clients and team members to ensure strong relationships
  • High attention to detail due to the sensitive nature of the work
